it’s amazing what disconnecting from your normal routine will do to you.
these past couple of weeks have been such a rush of creativity. i keep scribbling down thoughts on napkins + waking up in the middle of the night with ideas of things i want to create, write about, and talk about.
don’t get me wrong —
routine is good. ⠀
routine is necessary. ⠀
routine keeps us steady. ⠀
and, walks us to our goals.
but, i do believe there is immense beauty in stepping away from the routine, must-do’s, should-do’s, and ought to-do’s in order to soak in inspiration, explore, and create.
you see, life as a creator is dancing between the line of putting in the work and disconnecting in order to discover, tune into yourself, and be a sponge to the ever inspiring world around us.
to all my fellow creators that feel a little drained of inspiration — who feel like they don’t know what else they can give right now — i dare you to disconnect.
the internet won’t forget you in the hours, days, or weeks that you take away.
K, that’s it. going back to work and staring at a bunch of beautiful pastries full of gluten as i sip on my almond milk latte.
